In the central part of the city, beginning of Lavasani St. and next to the river, there is relatively large mosque which is attributed to the eleventh Shi`a Imam. It was built by Ahmad ibn Is`hāq Qummi, representative of Imam Hasan Askari (PBUH) in the third century A.H.
The mosque has also been the site of lecture for many great scholars and now is the site of holding Jama’ah and religious ceremonies. Since 1958 other complexes have been annexed to the mosque which has added to its splendor and after inauguration it will have a capacity for thousands of people.
