A Colombian lady who has recently converted to Islam gave the following message reciting the Declaration of Faith in the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatima Masuma: “What the world media reports about Iran and Islam, especially Shiite Islam, is very different from the truth”.
According to the news channel of the Holy Shrine, on the eve of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), Colombian lady Gisele Abia Castianos joined Islam and the Shiite school of thought.
“My father used to work for a Colombian oil company and traveled to different parts of the world, including Iran. Returning to Colombia, he told me interesting things about Islam and always said that Iran and Islam, especially Shiite Islam are different from what is shown in the media”, she said.
“My family in Colombia has a strong belief in God, and when my father found out about my decision to become a Muslim, he confirmed my decision so that I had the opportunity to recite the Declaration of Faith today”, the newly converted lady noted. “Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) is a person who has devoted her whole life to God. Approaching such a person takes you close to God and I have been given the honor of becoming a Muslim on the eve of her martyrdom and in this holy place known as the Haram of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)”.
Also, three weeks ago, on the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ, a Bolivian woman converted to Islam in the office of International Affairs.
It is worth mentioning that during the last two years, 40 people have converted to Islam in the shrine of Lady Fatima Masuma.
